GCS-Produced Video Series Sparks Client’s Fall Business
January 21, 2022Take These Early Steps to Make Your Business Recession-Proof

In today’s American household, it’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t subscribe to at least one popular online streaming platform, such as YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video or Apple TV+. By the end of this year alone, it’s expected that 240.7 million people in the U.S. will be OTT video service users. That number is expected to climb to 253 million people and 73% of the entire population by 2026.
And it’s not just the major media companies that are turning to livestreaming. More and more businesses today are streaming content live in order to attract new customers, sell their products and grow their bottom line. That’s why I’m very excited today to announce that starting this month, Golf Content Solutions (www.GolfContentSolutions.com) will be able to provide its clients with this very same game-changing technology. We’ll be able to stream live broadcast-quality video out to multiple social media and digital platforms of your choosing—all at once! Imagine doing a Facebook Live broadcast but having the ability to use multiple cameras and also place graphics, overlays, questions and polls on the screen. Then imagine being able to send that out live to multiple destinations at once, including your website and such social media channels as Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. Add in broadcast-quality HD video and the very best in audio, and you practically have your own cable TV network behind you.
“It’s like having your own portable production studio on site,” said Golf Content Solutions Senior Producer Jay Radzavicz, a former editor for the PGA Tour Champions Learning Center on Golf Channel from 2005 through 2016.
The YoloBox Pro multi-camera streaming studio device allows you to live switch up to six video sources in high definition. That means that Radzavicz, who’s worked in various forms of live production since 1988—including as a coordinating producer with the Golf Channel and NBC Sports—can switch angles with a simple tap, from face-on to down-the-line to super tight. He can also have pre-loaded graphics and other forms of content ready to roll. The video feed is then streamed live through the LiveU Solo video encoder, using the same technology used by the major broadcast networks to ensure bandwidth consistency across all cellular and WiFi networks.
So why is this all good for you? First, it gives you the ability to connect with even more golfers in your area through clinics and Q&As conducted online and across your social media platforms. Secondly, it allows you to generate revenue through live webinars and other forms of OTT subscription content. Finally, the overall broadcast quality blows away anything you can do on your mobile phone, such as Facebook Live.
“It’s going to look more like a TV show and less like something you did on your phone screen,” said Radzavicz. “It gets to be pretty mundane if you’re watching a single camera angle all of the time. With the multi-camera inputs, you’re going to be able to cut to different angles and go wide or tight whenever you’d like, depending on what it is you’re trying to teach. You also have the ability to be more interactive in a visual way by adding graphics and overlays to the screen. The quality is going to be much better, too, than what you get from a phone. It’s not any kind of fuzzy video, audio or interrupted stream. It will look and sound like a real broadcast.”

Should you live in the Northeast and want to try your hand at doing a live webinar, or you want to upgrade or expand your existing video content, Golf Content Solutions will be traveling to the New York Metropolitan area and New England in July and August. Please see below for available dates.
Remember: Content is king when it comes to marketing your business. This year it’s expected that the average American will spend as much as 4-1/2 hours per day on their mobile phone. That’s more than a typical round of golf! You can bet a good chunk of that time is spent watching video, too. Live and taped. Why not take the time right now to create the best video content possible and gain a sizable edge on your competition.
