The Masters, “a tradition unlike any other,” breaks away from tradition this November and becomes the final golf major to be contested in 2020. This, of course, was necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the suspension of play on the PGA Tour from mid-March through early June. The tournament is normally in the leadoff spot among the four majors and contested in early April. When I was promoted to the role of Associate Editor of Instruction for Golf Magazine in early 1999, one of my very first assignments was to travel to Orlando, Fla., to write a series of instruction articles with uber-talented Playing Editor Annika Sorenstam.
